Kebijakan Pemberian Bebas Visa Kunjungan Kepada Warga Negara Singapura dalam Skema Travel Bubble Indonesia Pasca Covid-19

Covid-19 has major impact on the Indonesian tourism sector which is the second-largest foreign exchange contributor in Indonesia. The decline of the tourists’ visit has affected several regions of tourist destinations in Indonesia and Batam is one of them. To restore the tourism sector and to revitalize the economic condition post Covid-19, Indonesia provides a travel bubble policy to Singapore as the partner country. The purpose of the study is to find out the implementation of the policy of visit visa exemption to Singapore in the Indonesian travel bubble cooperation scheme of the post Covid-19 economic recovery. The study is considered as one of the national interest concepts. This study used a qualitative descriptive research method. The study concludes that by implementing the visit visa exemption policy to Singaporean, the tourists visit to Batam has increased. It is also expected that this policy will improve bilateral relations between Indonesia and Singapore and strengthen the Indonesia economy post Covid-19.

Measuring the resilience of rural tourism in Indonesia using the Adjusted Mazziotta-Pareto index

Rural tourism plays a crucial role in rural development in Indonesia by providing employment opportunities, livelihood, infrastructure, cultural preservation, and environmental preservation. However, it is prone to external shocks such as natural disasters, public health events, and volatility in the national and global economy. This study measures the resilience of rural tourism to external shocks caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in 24 rural tourism destinations in Indonesia covering four years from 2019 to 2022. A synthetic composite index of the Adjusted Mazziotta-Pareto index (AMPI) is used to measure rural tourism resilience followed by clustering analysis to determine the typology of the resilience. The AMPI measure is also compared with the conventional Mazziotta-Pareto index (MPI) method. The resilience index is composed of capacity and performance components related to resilience. The results show that in the first year of COVID-19, most tourism villages in Indonesia were severely affected by the pandemic, yet they were able to recover afterward, as indicated by positive differences in the AMPI index before and after COVID-19. Thus, rural tourism villages in Indonesia have a strong capacity and performance to recover from pandemic shock. Lessons learned from this analysis can be applied to policies related to rural tourism resilience in developing countries.

Why is the lactation pod essential? a "Ruang Sehati" innovation pilot project for wellness tourism in Yogyakarta, Indonesia

Yogyakarta is a popular tourist destination in Indonesia, yet lactation rooms at public facilities are difficult to access and substandard. This will certainly have an impact on breastfeeding practices for mothers who travel through their daily activities in public areas. Researchers propose using "Ruang Sehati" lactation pods as a kind of wellness tourism in Yogyakarta. This study aims to determine participants' perceptions of the lactation pod. Descriptive analytical methods were used in this study. Twenty participants were involved with this purposive sampling technique. The study showed that lactation pod innovation is essential, including maintaining privacy, sufficient breastfeeding facilities, high accessibility, and place efficiency. This innovation is also a model that can be demonstrated nationally, thereby showing a portrait of wellness tourism in the city of Yogyakarta as an ideal tourist destination for mothers and children.

Collaboration Model in the Development of Halal Tourism in Indonesia: Case Study in Batam City, Riau Islands Province

Halal tourism as a new phenomenon in the tourism industry continues to grow along with the increasing number of Muslim tourists throughout the world, in developing halal tourism in Indonesia (case study in Batam City). The research method was carried out using a qualitative descriptive approach, with the technique of determining informants purposively, with the Head of the Department of Tourism and Culture as the Key Informant. The findings show that the collaborative model for developing halal tourism in the city of Batam is PENTAHELIX, where there are five helixes/elements involved, namely government, private sector, community, academics, and mass media. With the collaboration between actors/helix still not being optimal, it creates obstacles in efforts to promote halal tourism. Apart from that it was also found that there is still low human resource competency, there are no regulations governing it, and the lack of business actors managing halal logos. Therefore, the recommendations given are to increase cooperation between actors, increase socialization about halal logos, and increase HR competency. The government’s role in this matter is an important key to promoting and developing halal tourism in the city of Batam, considering that Batam city is one of the cities in the Riau Islands province which is one of the provinces that has become a leading halal tourism destination in Indonesia.

Compare Means Analysis of Domestic Tourists Habits: Daily Actions and Vacationing Actions in Rural Destinations

The concept of sustainability should be followed by all tourism destinations in Indonesia to ensure the balance of ecological, social/cultural, and economic impacts on all. One of the main concerns of the sustainability is the maintenance of environmental aspects, which can be measured in many ways, human behavior being the key to that. Therefore, initial profiling of tourist behavior can be a great start and can be applied to all tourism destinations in Indonesia. By knowing the general behavior of tourists (daily and vacationing behavior), local managers may adapt environmentally friendly tourism activities, which will actually increase the demand side (tourists). The findings of 134 respondents in this study show not only a comparison of each respondent’s profile but also a connection to previous related studies. Thus, future research may cross-examine the profiles as well as check their relations simultaneously.

Community Empowerment Strategy Based on Local Potential through the Seed Garden Tourism Village Program in Kediri Regency

The development of tourism destinations in Indonesia is a development that is intensively carried out by the central government and local governments. A characteristic of a tourist village has the concept of a form of integration between attractions, accommodation, and fulfillment of facilities in a community structure that is integrated with traditions and procedures that already apply. Determination of the place in the study that is using a purposive area, because the selection of the place is based on certain considerations. The technique of determining the informants in this study used snowball sampling. Data collection techniques using the method of observation, interviews and documentation. Techniques for checking the validity of the data used extended participation, persistence of observation, and triangulation. The triangulation used is technique triangulation and source triangulation. Data analysis using Miles and Huberman includes: data collection, data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The results of this study indicate that there is a community empowerment strategy carried out by residents around Jambu Village to improve the standard of living of the local community.

Agroforestry of bamboo in Tana Toraja, Indonesia (a way combining plants inherited from ancestors)

Bamboo plants are known as “renewable resources” and have high abundance, high biomass production that have economic and ecological value. Tana Toraja Regency is one of the tourist destinations in Indonesia which has culture that is very familiar with bamboo. There is the highest variety of bamboo species both common and endemic, that is supported by nature. Bamboo plant in an intercropping system with agricultural, forestry and plantation crops. The agroforestry system has long developed, that is a way of planting the ancestors. The structure of agroforestry stands with species of agricultural and plantation crops, by using descriptive methods, namely timber trees 22.2%, bamboo clumps 11%, plantation trees 37% and medicinal trees or vegetable 29.8%. A high proportion of timber trees and plant structure density were formed, consisting of 42 plant species divided into 4 strata. The density level (K) of Petung bamboo reaches 10-20 clump per hectare, which is below that of Tallang bamboo. The association within stand structure namely bamboo, sugar palm, uru and suren. Based on the structure for the further development of bamboo shoots, it is necessary to regulate the spacing between plants to achieve a balance in increasing the yield of commodity.

IMPACT OF DESTINATION BRAND EXPERIENCE TO INCREASE DESTINATION BRAND LOYALTY

Research related to brand loyalty is important, especially in the period following the Covid-19 pandemic. At that time, many tourism destinations and businesses were destroyed and tended to go bankrupt, so a strategy was needed to revive brand loyalty in tourist destinations in Indonesia which were famous as world tourist destinations. This research aims to provide a tourism marketing perspective with a destination brand experience. The brand experience felt by tourists is a series of efforts, activities or products received by tourists starting when tourists have a desire to travel. This research uses quantitative methods, data collection by questionnaire with a sample of tourists, the range of this research was conducted from January to May 2023 and by using a questionnaire on google form. The number of samples included in this study was 200 respondents, the sample determination was carried out by purposive sampling. Respondent data was analyzed by Structure Equation Model with Smart PLS 4.0. The results of this research found that destination brand experience has a positive effect on destination brand authenticity, destination brand satisfaction, and destination brand loyalty. Meanwhile, destination brand authenticity and destination brand satisfaction have a positive effect on destination brand loyalty. The results of the indirect influence show that destination brand authenticity and destination brand satisfaction mediate the influence of destination brand experience on destination brand loyalty.

The Role of Ecopreneurship in Bali’s Sustainable Tourism Development: Insights into Government Policy, Tourist Awareness and Preferences

There are numerous environmental issues in Bali, a popular tourist destination in Indonesia, including the problems of waste, critical land, beach abrasion, coral reef destruction and water contamination, all attributed to the rapid expansion of the tourism industry. Ecotourism is one of the solutions to address these concerns, and the initiatives taken involve ecopreneurship, the process of starting and running green firms that support sustainable tourism growth in Bali. The goal of ecopreneurship in the tourism industry is to create and run enterprises that have as minimum negative environmental impacts as possible, while maximising positive social and economic consequences. This is done through improvements on both public policies and tourist preferences, to promote a sustainable tourism development. A mixed method was used, combining SEM PLS, Path Methods, and qualitative research, with comprehensive interviews conducted among ecopreneurs, government agencies, tourists, and academics in Bali. Ecopreneurship variables, comprising environmentally friendly products and services, green technology innovation, environmental and natural resource management, local community involvement, environmental education and awareness, waste and emission management, collaboration and partnerships, measurement of environmental performance and sustainability, moderated by the government policy and tourist awareness and preference, were found to have a  significant influence on sustainable tourism variables, namely, natural environment preservation, social welfare and culture, local economic empowerment, resource management and environmental impact reduction, local community participation and public consultation.
  

Pengembangan Wisata Halal di Kawasan Danau Toba: Persepsi Pelaku Usaha Wisata Hotel dan Restoran

The people of Lake Toba are dominated by the Batak tribe who adhere to Christian and Catholic beliefs. The livelihoods of the people of Lake Toba are also dominated by farming, fishing and business. Where the community plays an important role in Lake Toba tourism, such as being hoteliers, restaurants and managers of tourist attractions. Lake Toba was designed as one of the halal tourist destinations in Indonesia, but rejection occurred among the community, especially tourism managers in the Lake Toba area. Rejection occurred because people thought that it was against the traditions and culture of the Batak tribe that had existed for generations. The aim of this research is to determine the perceptions of non-Islamic business actors in developing halal tourism in Lake Toba. The research methodology used in this study is a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires and using factor analysis. The sample used is a saturated sample where the sample is business managers in the Lake Toba area. The results of the research to be aimed at are looking at the perceptions and readiness of hotel and restaurant business tourism doer towards the development of halal tourism in the Lake Toba area.

ANALYSIS OF FACTORS AFFECTING INCOME OF THE JATILUWIH PENEBEL TOURISM OBJECT, TABANAN DISTRICT

Tourism is one sector that makes an important contribution to national and regional economic growth. The Province of Bali is one of the areas that has become the highest tourist destination in Indonesia, in fact the Province of Bali was awarded as the best tourist destination (Island Destination of The Year) from the 2013 China Travel and Meeting Industry Award. This study uses a quantitative approach and analysis method, namely research in the form of numbers and statistical analysis with the aim of testing the hypotheses that have been set. Multiple linear regression method, partial test and F test simultaneously. Result 1 was obtained based on the SPSS calculation findings. The number of visitors, ticket pricing, and working hours all have a positive and considerable impact on income at the Jatiluwih Tourism Object in the Penebel District of Tabanan Regency. 2). According to the findings of the study, the number of visitors, ticket rates, and operating hours all have a major impact on income at the Jatiluwih Tourism Object in Penebel District, Tabanan Regency.

Development Strategy for Paal Beach Tourist Destination in East Likupang, North Sulawesi, Indonesia

In order to accelerate the development of the tourism sector, the Indonesian government has designated five tourist destinations in Indonesia as super priority tourist destinations, one of which is East Likupang of North Minahasa Regency in North Sulawesi Province. Paal Beach is one of the main tourist attractions in East Likupang. Even though the beach is very beautiful and the access to it is very good, the number of visits is still far below it's carrying capacity. This research aims to identify appropriate development strategies for the Paal Beach tourist destination to attract more visitors. The analytical tool used is SWOT analysis. The research results show that various external factors are very supportive for the development of Paal Beach.  However, the beach still has various weaknesses that could make it unattractive for some people to visit.   The main identified weaknesses are related to the lack of adequate infrastuctures and supporting facilities So, the main strategy should be to prioritize improving these infrastuctures and supporting facilities. If infrastuctures and supporting facilities are improved, then this area has great potential to be able to take advantage of the existing external factors identified as opportunities, especially with the designation of East Likupang as one of the super priority tourist destinations in Indonesia.

Pemetaan Sarana dan Prasarana Objek Geowisata Batu Angus di Kecamatan Tarnate Barat Provinsi Maluku Utara

Batu Angus Geotourism in West Ternate District, North Maluku, is one of the popular tourist destinations in Indonesia that offers unique and interesting natural scenery. The area is famous for its black volcanic rocks and rough texture, the result of an ancient volcanic eruption. This study aims to map the facilities and infrastructure at the Batu Angus Geotourism Object in the Kulaba Village, West Ternate District using a GIS application in order to map the location and area of facilities and infrastructure, analyze the condition of facilities and infrastructure, and provide recommendations for development facilities and infrastructure at the Batu Angus Geotourism Object. The method used is a spatial approach based on a geospatial information system by means of field surveys to collect spatial data on the location and area of facilities and infrastructure, interviews with tourist attraction managers and tourists to collect attribute data on the condition of facilities and infrastructure, and documentation to collect secondary data in the form of photos and maps. The results of the study showed that the condition of the facilities and infrastructure was adequate, including a parking area, stage, gazebo, and toilets. Facilities that need to be improved include clean water, electricity, a museum, and road access. Mapping was carried out using the ArcGIS application to produce a digital map of the distribution of facilities and infrastructure. This map helps tourists to find available facilities. Batu Angus Geotourism has great potential to be developed. It is necessary to improve facilities and infrastructure, tourism promotion, and public awareness to support the development of this tourism.

Implementation Of Goal-Directed Design in the Development of the Jogja Tourist Travel Planning Website Application

Jogja is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Indonesia. Tourists who come to Jogja are mostly backpackers, family tourists, and tour groups. Jogja is indeed famous for its popular tourist attractions, such as Prambanan Temple, Malioboro, and Mount Merapi. However, tourists who do not know much about tourism in Jogja will find it difficult to design their travel plans. Therefore, the existence of Jogja travel planning website application will help tourists in planning their trip. This Jogja travel itinerary website application is designed using the Goal-directed design method because tourists have different types and characteristics so that their tourist interests will be different. This research will focus on the goals and needs of users with the stages of research, modeling, requirements, framework, design refinement, interface implementation, and usability testing. From the results of usability testing on the Jogja travel planning website application, we obtained an effectiveness value with a success rate of 100%, efficiency with the longest average time-based efficiency value T1, namely 0.016 goal/sec and the fastest time-based efficiency, namely T5 with a value of 0.093 goal/sec, as well as satisfaction with an average value of 80.7, which means it is acceptable with a good rating and a rating scale of C.

Towards a Global Village: English Literacy in Tourism Village

The well-known tourist destination in Indonesia is the Borobudur Temple, which is in the Central Java Province's Magelang Regency. In the Borobudur District, Wanurejo Village is a village with a good reputation for tourism attractions and foreign visitors. Tour activists must be able to employ a variety of English language skills, including reading, listening, speaking, and writing. This study compares and analyzes Wanurejo tourism village activists' levels of English literacy depending on several criteria, mainly age. To acquire data for this study, a questionnaire was used as a data collection tool. 87 advocates for the Wanurejo tourist resort made up the sample for this study. The study's findings revealed that the Wanurejo tourism village activists had a moderate level of English literacy, with a score of 64.44. The reading indication of English literacy scores the highest out of the four, while the writing indicator scores the lowest. According to the respondents' characteristics, younger tourism village activists are more literate than older ones. Additionally, according to recent studies, activists from tourism villages with high school degrees are more literate in English than those with only elementary or junior high school degrees. There was no discernible difference in terms of gender, income, or work experience.

Tourism Destination Mapping Based on Tourism Characteristics and Carrying Capacity of Province in Indonesia

The development of tourist destinations in Indonesia can encourage an increase in tourist visits and the length of stay of tourists while in tourist destinations. Tourism destination development needs to be in line with the characteristics of the tourism destinations they have. This study conducted a cluster analysis to map 34 provinces in Indonesia based on 13 aspects of tourism characteristics and carrying capacity. Mapping results formed four groups of tourist destinations with similar characteristics. Cluster-1 has the best average tourist carrying capacity, so it is classified as an advanced destination group consisting of West Java, Central Java, DI Yogyakarta, East Java, and Bali. Cluster-2 consists of DKI Jakarta and Riau Island, with two bad aspects, so they are classified as the revitalization of tourist destinations. Cluster-3 consists of North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Banten, West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, West Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, South Sulawesi, North Sulawesi, and West Papua, which have poor performance in 6 aspects so that it is categorized as a developing tourism destination. Cluster-4 comprises 16 other provinces with poor performance in 9 elements, so it is classified as a pioneering tourist destination. Mapping results are compared with the policies of 10 priority tourism destinations (DPP) in Indonesia, and it is found that 3 DPPs (Bangka Belitung, Morotai-North Maluku, and Wakatobi-Southeast Sulawesi) are included in cluster-4 with the category of pioneer tourist destinations. Development of these 3 DPPs requires increased funding.

Revitalizing Character Values in the Folklore of the Arjuna Mountain Slope Site

Mount Arjuna is not only a popular tourist destination in Indonesia because of its outstanding natural beauty. Mount Arjuna also has a cultural heritage reflected in its sites. The slopes of Mount Arjuna have diverse folklore. Revitalization of folklore values on the slopes of Mount Arjuna is an essential step in maintaining cultural heritage and preserving local identity. The objectives of this study are 1) to study the folklore on the slopes of Mount Arjuna and 2) to design a revitalization of the folkloric values of the Lereng Gunung Arjuna site. This research uses a historical method consisting of four stages, namely heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography, with an empirical approach. Data analysis was done comparatively by proving the Lereng Gunung Arjuna site and the Lereng Gunung Arjuna folklore. The results showed 1) there are 19 folklors contained in each site. Sites of Mount Arjuna Slope, namely Oento Boego Cave, Watu Kursi, Eyang Madrim, Rahtawu or Tampuono, Eyang Sekutrem, Eyang Abiyoso, Nogo Gini Cave, Sendang Dewi Kunti, Puthuk Lesung, Eyang Sakri, Eyang Semar, Dwarapala Statue, Makuthoromo, Sendang Widodari, Wejangan Cave, Rancang Kencono, Candi Wesi, Sendang Drajat, Sepilar; 2) Local wisdom as a concept of preserving the environment wrapped in harmony between the value of divinity-humanity-nature around. The existing local wisdom is used as an inspiration for the mechanism of social life. The implementation of revitalization requires support from the parties (multi-stakeholders), and then the folklore is preserved and adjusted by the social context and changing times. Various existing folklore has the potential to be transformed elsewhere. In education, it is introduced and converted to school students so that local wisdom as an ancestral heritage and potential can be changed as a guide for the next generation's life.

ANALYSIS OF THE POTENTIAL FOR IMPLEMENTING THE CONCEPT OF HALAL TOURISM IN WATU KANDANG TOURISM VILLAGE DESTINATIONS, TRENGGALEK DISTRICT

This research discusses the analysis of the potential for implementing the halal tourism concept at the Watu Kandang Tourism Village destination in Trenggalek Regency. Watu Kandang Tourism Village is a new tourist destination that focuses on ecotourism and offers direct interaction with nature and the lives of local people. This research aims to analyse the potential for implementing the halal tourism concept in the Watu Kandang Tourism Village based on halal tourism criteria according to the Global Muslim Travel Index. The research method used is qualitative, with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data were analysed through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results show that the Watu Kandang Tourism Village has good potential to be developed into a halal tourist destination. This can be seen from the criteria for halal tourism that are fully in place in the Watu Kendang tourist attraction. Apart from that, this tourism is supported by easy accessibility to the location, adequate worship and toilet facilities, a beautiful and safe environment, as well as food and drinks that guarantee halal. So according to the criteria above, Watu Kendang tourism is worthy of being used as a halal tourist destination in Indonesia.

Community Empowerment through Enhancement of Pule Payung Tourist Spot Potential in Soropati, Hargotirto, Kokap, Kulon Progo, Special Region of Yogyakarta

Abstract. This article presents a community service initiative focused on enhancing the potential of Pule Payung, a significant tourist destination in Indonesia, through community empowerment and the strategic use of information technology in tourism promotion. Recognizing the challenges such as inadequate infrastructure and limited understanding of sustainable tourism management, the program provided a series of training and workshops for the local community, including basic IT training, social media and digital platform workshops, TikTok training, and photography and videography training. A sustainable Information Technology Management Team was also formed as part of the service. These efforts were evaluated through continuous mentoring and feedback sessions to ensure their effectiveness. The initiative resulted in the creation of effective digital content for promoting Pule Payung, with the local community playing an active role. The service project showcases the potential of combining community empowerment and digital technology to augment tourism, yielding broader economic, social, and environmental benefits for local communities and the wider Indonesian society.
